Constitutional Amendments

We are seeking input from the members of ETFO – Waterloo Region regarding possible amendments to our local Constitution and By-Laws.

Amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws will be made at the Winter General Membership Meeting on Thursday, February 25, 2010.

Motions for constitutional amendments may not be made from the floor of the General Membership Meeting.

If a member would like to recommend a constitutional change, a motion with written rationale, must be in to the Local office 15 working days prior to the general membership meeting.

Motions and rationale will be available for the members to review 10 working days prior to the meeting.

Recommendations for Constitutional changes must be into the ETFO – WRTL office by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010.

Notice to the general membership regarding the proposed changes will then be sent electronically to Reps.

A copy of the ETFO-WRTL Constitution and By-Laws is available at schools and worksites through the Fed Reps or on-line at http://etfo-wr.on.ca
